What are your favorite breeds? We have tried and loved so many breeds, wanting to experience all the chicken world has to offer.

Basically chicken obsessed and loving it.

I like the Easter Egger girls because the colorful egg bowl makes my heart happy. My kids love the one and only modern game hen we have. Her name is Sahara and she is a tiny little raptor that looks like she has no business free ranging it on the farm.

The big girls know the truth though, Sahara owns our place, and 7 of our funky looking mixed breeds (double her size) are last years babies she hatched!

Littlest H ,our families youngest , is 17 m/o and hand feeds Sahara one grain at a time. It's overwhelmingly cute.

I could watch them all day. That'll be my next mom-cation. Set up a chair and give H a little bag of grains, Sahara will scurry on up immediately, the sun will shine and I'll have unlimited lemonade. Dreamy
