Deep in her nest. Her nest in the goat hay feeder..oOops..so she had to leave. We built her a castle of her own with princess and the pea 2 feet deep of fluffy goodness. Hatch those babies.

We have had our Turkey ups and downs.
The best Turkey moments are when mama Turkey ( Snow White) brings her nest of love out into the sunshine and we gather at a polite distance to oOoh and awee over her sweet little brood.
.. and let's not forget the gorgeous gigantic eggs to cook and bake with, although cracking them takes a good whack. I save them for anger baking.
I use 1 turkey egg for 2 chicken eggs.
Yum.

The downs. Turkey fear and horror.
I feel personally that turkeys only become a problem when teased or threatened.. unfortunately this happens with classic gobble gobble back at a turkey or even standing and staring at them can escalate things..
Our farm rule is leave the turkeys alone, pretend they don't exist and enjoy the displays from a distance.
These boys ( Tom's) are called Royal Palms.

Don't poke the bears , or the turkeys. No matter how handsome.
